Cooking For You is a small business run by Cordon Bleu cook Wendy Edon in historic Penryn Cornwall.
After years working as a private chef all over the UK catering for a variety of events, including cooking for television & film location caterers, Wendy returned to the West Country in June 2008 to set up home permanently in Cornwall.
Living and working in idyllic West Cornwall and being blessed with beautiful beaches and stunning countryside means this area attracts a great many visitors to the county. Holidaymakers in self catering cottages can select any number of dishes from the Food To Order list which is updated according to the season. Equally, if required, full dinner party service is also available for those special occasions away from home.
The Food to Order list also come in handy on those occasions when you don’t want to spend time in the kitchen away from family and friends, or for the odd dish or two to compliment your own catering. We will be happy to send you a current Food to Order list upon request.
Because we're not a huge catering company we don't cater for wedding receptions - we leave that to others - but we do offer a unique service catering for the smaller pre-wedding dinner and canapé parties for wedding guests before or after the big day when cooking is the last thing on your mind.
Our passion for food is complemented by our passion for Cornwall and things Cornish. We use local suppliers for fish and meat and buy as much local produce generally wherever possible. Food in season and reducing our carbon footprint is also important but it is not always possible to use only seasonal foodstuffs but we do try.
